Privacy policy
This is a translation provided for convenience. The Icelandic version of this policy is the binding one.
Frágangur (Bílafrágangur ehf.) takes the security of its users and of their personal data seriously.
Frágangur is the controller for the processing of data, as defined in Icelandic act no. 90/2018 on data protection and the processing of personal data and in the European Union's GDPR. All processing of personal data is fair and transparent. Frágangur undertakes not to use information about its users in an irresponsible, insecure or unlawful way.
Your rights
You may contact Frágangur at any time to request access to the information Frágangur holds about you, to correct it, to erase it, or to exercise any other right provided for under applicable data protection law.
Technical information
While users are signed in to Frágangur's web interface, the software may collect technical information about their use of it, such as browser type and IP address. This information is used only to improve the experience of using Frágangur — for example to improve the interface or to tell users about possible technical problems.
Frágangur reserves the right to produce anonymous statistical summaries and other derived information that is beyond doubt not personally identifiable, and to use it in the company's work, for example in its marketing material.
Retention
Accounting records are kept in accordance with the law and regulations on bookkeeping and its retention. After that period the data is erased, although information on statements of account is not. Frágangur's auditor is Enor.
Sharing with third parties
Frágangur follows Icelandic law on the handling of personal data and takes the utmost care with it. When a user orders from Frágangur and asks for financing, information about that user is shared with the finance company concerned. The information is not used for any other purpose.
Liability
All use of Frágangur is at the user's own risk. If a dispute or a loss arises from the use of Frágangur, that is entirely unrelated to the owners of Frágangur and is not their responsibility. The user cannot claim damages or refunds of any kind from Frágangur on account of their use of the system.
This privacy policy is governed by Icelandic law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with it shall, if it cannot be resolved otherwise, be settled before the District Court of Reykjavík.
